Katie Kauppi (rhymes with “soapy”) is an NYC-based writer and comic from central Virginia. 

Katie has trained in sketch and character at The Second City NYC, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Upright Citizens Brigade. She is a founding member and producer of Lateral Move Sketch Comedy (@lateralmovecomedy), which is currently enjoying a monthly residency at The Players Theatre. Her writing has been featured online in McSweeney's, Slackjaw, Points in Case, and more. She got her sea legs with 7th Grade Sketch Comedy at William & Mary. 

She moonlights as a financial analyst. If you ask her nicely, she will do yo-yo tricks.
